We’re looking for someone to fill the role of our new Programs Coordinator who will be excited planning alternative ways to communicate science, research and innovation. Someone who is keen to innovate approaches with schools to allow students to delve in deeper beyond the experience. And who’s not afraid to mix things up in pursuit of a fun Friday night out for our visitors. This is a new role for our team that rewards strategic thinking in the development of programs and events that connect to exhibitions and audiences.
MOD. is a strategic venture for the University of South Australia, aspiring to be Australia’s leading future-focused museum, provoking new ideas at the intersection of science, art and innovation. We aim to engage nationally on science and science outreach. Our focus is inspiring young adults to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and maths, so that they continue an on-going relationship with these disciplines throughout their lifetime.
In this exciting role, the Programs Coordinator will be responsible for leading the design, development and delivery of public and education programs within MOD. You will work closely with the Director: MOD. to ensure that all aspects of program development and management is in accordance with MOD.’s mission and objectives are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience along with demonstrated experience in a communications or operations role. You will also have excellent project management skills and experience in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines. You will have demonstrated an ability to interpret conceptual and complex information and deliver it in a way that is appropriate for different audiences, including sourcing content and writing for different channels. You will be passionate about science and technology, process orientated, well organised, and a team player with a can do attitude.
