Group Bookings and MOD. Tours

School and Group Visits

  • School and other groups are welcome to come and explore our gallery spaces.

We ask that if you are bringing a school group or another large group through MOD. that you fill out the enquiry form below, at least 2 weeks prior to your visit, and we will get back to you to confirm.

We recommend allowing an hour for your visit. Select your arrival time from the list below.

Please note MOD. has no bag storage facilities.

FoodLore Café is located in the ground level foyer of MOD. with seating for café patrons. Groups who wish to come together, to share their MOD. experiences, or to eat lunch brought from home, are encouraged to either use the Terrace on Level 1, or the garden in front of MOD.

While MOD. is open to visitors of all ages, we recommend that if you are wanting to bring Primary School aged children, that you take some time to visit and explore yourself, prior to bringing a group through. The exhibitions at MOD. have been designed for 15-25 year olds, with the interactivity being aimed at an older audience.

Please note the following galleries will be closed while we install the next exhibition WAGING PEACE.
    • Level One Galleries (Arcade, Gould Interactive and Futures) closed from Monday 29 Oct. – Monday 26 Nov.
    • Ground Level Galleries Lecture and Street Gallery closed from Monday 12 Nov. – Monday 26 Nov.
    • Ground Level Universal Gallery remains open

WAGING PEACE opens on Tuesday 27 November.

Please note you do not need to fill out both Group Enquiry and Tour Enquiry forms.

MOD. Tours

  • We can provide a tour guide (we call them Moderators!) to show your group through each of the spaces (or a selection of them) talking to the STEM connections of each exhibit.

We have a set fee for the tours, to cover the costs of your guide – and usually limit these tours to 30 people, as too many people in some galleries at the same time can limit the experience for individuals.

Tour Fee: $160 (1 hour tour)
Cancellation Policy: Once your tour is booked and invoiced, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required if you need to cancel your booking.

Please complete the enquiry form below if you are interested in booking at tour at MOD.
