Work experience placements give high school students an introduction to workplaces, ideally in their areas of interest. These opportunities allow students to research directions for their futures, and connect them with diverse organisations and people. This year, we were happy to welcome ten year 10 and 11 students to MOD., and share our expertise and experience with them.
Over two weeks, students participated in everyday activities, and spent time alongside MOD. staff. They joined progress meetings, and interviews with artists and researchers, as well as assisted in organising our Open Lab space for a new exhibit exploring the First Nations Voice to Parliament referendum. One of their reported highlights was spending time with our Moderators setting up the galleries, and talking to visitors about the exhibits. Both weeks were rounded out by a zine making session and Tik Toks to reflect on their time at MOD.
You can enjoy the students’ records below.
