Can the seeds we plant today help build a more diverse and sustainable future? Cultivating Community, a Nature Festival 2026 event, centres around local regenerative environmental practices and how even small actions contribute to the wellbeing of a community.

Join Karl Winda Telfer (Burka Senior Man), from Kanyanyapilla® – Place of Many Eagles, for digital storytelling through the six cultural seasons at Kuri Kurru (Turning Circle), the only permanent exhibit at MOD. Karl, a wisdom holder of Country, and conservationist Claire Lock will share the Traditional Owner-led native grass restoration project happening on Mullawirra Patpa Yerta (Southern Dry Forest Country).

Following this will be an interactive seed paper making workshop facilitated by Arvo Flora, where participants will be shown how to make their own seed paper using either edible garden or native flower seeds, generously donated by The Diggers Club.
