In an exciting partnership between MOD. and Hybrid World Adelaide (HWA), US game programmer Amie D Dansby (Amie DD) is set to land in Adelaide in her very first visit to Australia for exclusive workshops happening at MOD.

Who is Amie DD? She describes herself as an engineer, passionate technologist, game programmer and maker of things, who encourages everyone to play, create, and experiment. Amie DD is co-founder of ATAT Tech, a robotics, augmented reality and video game development company based in Texas. Amie has worked across both PlayStation and Xbox, and has long been a strong advocate for diversity in the technology industry.

Amie invites teens and adults to a range of hands-on workshops, where together they will help create her next cosplay costume. The HWA/MOD. workshops will allow people to play, explore and discover electronics in a collaborative environment. Participants will create objects to take home, as well as contribute to a ‘Space Junk Punk’ costume Amie will wear. The outfit contains moving parts, electronics, 3D printed objects, craft foam, resin, thermoplastics and more, with the final cosplay project presented at Hybrid World Adelaide and then displayed at MOD.
