BEGINNINGS 2100 is a pop-up collection of speculative artefacts across a future timeline between the years 2026 and 2100.

Imagine a museum in the year 2100. These are a few of the items you might find in the collection, built on innovations in science, technology, engineering and social systems.

Inspired by Adelaide University’s five Signature Research Themes and imagined by world-leading researchers across the University, these speculative objects ask us to consider what kind of future we want, how we get there, and what challenges we might face?

These speculative objects are displayed at Adelaide University’s non-metropolitan campuses – Mawson Lakes, Mount Gambier, Roseworthy, Waite and Whyalla.

See all 15 innovations from the future on this interactive timeline.
