Our panel of speakers consists of: 

Professor Grant Tomkinson 

Grant Tomkinson is a research professor and member of the Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity (ARENA) at UniSA.

He is interested in how people’s physical fitness levels relate to their health. Physical fitness describes people’s ability to perform physical activity, and it is important for good health and sporting success. He is particularly interested in whether people are more fit today than in the past.

Associate Professor Lyndsey Collins-Praino 

Dr Lyndsey Collins-Praino holds a PhD in behavioural neuroscience.  Her research focuses on the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying cognitive decline in healthy aging and in neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. She is particularly interested in the role of inflammation in this process.

Hayley Caldwell 

Hayley is currently a PhD Candidate with the Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory – ARCIVE, a tutor and research assistant at UniSA. She is the HDR Representative for the Research Degrees Committee and also various groups across UniSA. Her research interests typically involve the neural correlates of learning, the sleep-memory relationship, and gaining a more comprehensive view of neural processing.
